An innovative partnership of Suffolk based photographers Andy and Suzy Abbott offers a unique photographic service for businesses and individuals. Abbott Photography is an exciting business initiative formed by husband and wife team Andy and Suzy who have many decades of combined photographic experience. There is no field of photography they have not undertaken and are prepared to consider any challenge, looking to offer their talents, ability and experience for any future projects, assignments or ideas.
Andy has been a trained photo-journalist for over 40 years. He started his career indentured at the Bury Free Press weekly newspaper, passed his National Council for the Training of Journalists proficiency test with distinction and after less than five years was offered a post at Ipswich based East Anglian Daily Times. Appointed Head of Photos in January 2004 he was responsible for restructuring the Photographic Department and after a long, loyal and distinguished service his position was made redundant in 2012. During his time working in local media he won four Photographer of the Year awards and was an Eastern Region sports photographer of the year runner-up.
Suzy started her photographic career at the East Anglian Daily Times in 1988, also passing the NCTJ proficiency test with distinction. Suzy moved to the Bury Free Press in 1994 and was promoted to picture editor after two years, in charge of three weekly titles, before setting up her own business Suzanne Abbott Photography in 2001. She has for many years specialised in weddings and portraiture gaining many testimonials to her friendly natural and artistic ability in capturing inspiring moments and candid occasions.
